Dare to Dream!

Mrs. Deborah Zisa

I want to know, what is your dream?
I’m not talking about just something that you wish for; that would be a thought for today or tomorrow, but could be replaced by another wish next week. A dream, to me, is something that is rooted in your heart and your spirit. It captures your imagination and is unquenchable. It is a desire that you just cannot abandon and it can captivate your thoughts for years.
Do you have a dream?
Sometimes it’s hard to hold onto your dreams, especially in a world filled with indifference and apathy.
I have been blessed to see many of my dreams come to life. I believe that you need to live with expectant faith, then your dream will materialize. Refuse to let go, no matter what your situation is in life. When G-d puts a dream in your heart, you will find that through Him, nothing is impossible.
Ever since I can remember, I’ve had a passion for horses and it was always one of my dreams to own one someday. We couldn’t afford it growing up, nor did we have the room to keep one. One could always find me down the street, hanging out with my neighbor’s horses in my spare time. When I got married, I moved to Blairstown and had the property for a horse, but it was all wooded. One day, a mini tornado ripped through the town and went right through the woods behind my house. It ripped out the trees, did not damage anything else. My husband looked out and said, “This would be a perfect place to build a barn!”
I look at it as: G-d cleared the land and my husband built the barn and now I not only have horses, but they are in my backyard! Now that’s more than I ever dreamed of!
So, keep dreaming that dream and don’t let anyone keep you from it. It doesn’t have to be something spectacular, just something that fulfills your heart and brings you joy.
Believing and dreaming for special things in your life is contagious. Encourage others to reach their dreams and see the amazing impact it has on you. It may take time, but it’s worth the wait!
